My Story “I Decided to Stay”
This week we dive into one of the hardest parts of our story. When to decide to stay. We’ve been referencing the bike all through this series. How the bike gives us freedom…gives us the ability to stop. But how much does that bike give us the freedom to run when God is calling us to stay!
Is God Calling Me To Stay?
- Your Most DIFFICULT DECISION Will Be TO STAY Where God is Calling You when YOU WANT TO GO!
- Hosea’s story is one of the most beautiful representations of the Gospel! Hosea is God and we are Gomer! He decided to pay a price for what He had already created…He paid a price for what was already His…think about that? Yet, through all of that He still loves us enough to stay with us, clothe us in His Righteousness and Call Us His!
- In our own story we can see where we are like Gomer…willing to run back to what satisfies immediately and not face the difficult task of staying. Yet, we look at Hosea and stayed as God called him too!
- Like the Demon Possessed Man we can see what we miss out on by going instead of staying where Jesus has called us to! If the man had gone…the entire Decapolis (10 cities) would not know who Jesus from the man’s testimony!
***I’m not suggesting to stay in an abusive situation! God has not called you stay there…but to only forgive and step forward. If you need help let someone know today.***When is a time in your life you stayed when it was easier to go? What did you learn through it?
